Amber joined the News 12 team in March of 2017 as the News 12 Now This Morning Producer and Reporter. In October, Amber began reporting, producing and anchoring 11:00 pm show on Saturday and Sunday. (If you are hosting an event on the weekend, send them to her!)
Amber is a native of Atlanta, GA. She grew up in Dekalb County, GA before graduating from high school with her diploma and Associate Degree in Communications from a dual enrollment high school in the county. From there, she went on to Valdosta State University and obtained her BFA in Mass Media.
Before moving to Tennessee, she worked at WJXT in Jacksonville, Florida and worked as the administrative assistant at the Winston Family YMCA in Florida. Her passion for the work that the YMCA does in the community runs deep. Amber got her start at WSB-TV in Atlanta as a news trainee and assignment desk editor after graduating from VSU. After a year there, she moved to Augusta to work as a reporter for NBC26. While working in Augusta, Amber worked part-time at the Wilson Family YMCA.
Amber is working on her Master degree from the University of Florida in Public Relations and Communications Management.
Amber's favorite quotes include, “She’s a Dreamer. A Doer. A Thinker. She sees possibility everywhere,” "She believed she could so she did," and "If God brings you to it, he'll bring you through it."
As you can see, she likes to stay busy, but not too busy for your story ideas! Amber believes that everyone has a story worth telling. You can send morning show segment ideas and news tips to Amber via Facebook, Twitter, and email at email@example.com.
