4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, about 2 lbs
Vegetable oil, for oiling grill grates
1/3 cup Dale’s Steak Sauce, plus more for serving
Preheat a gas grill on medium-high heat for 5 minutes. Turn off ½ of the burners and lightly oil the grates. Place the chicken breasts over the side with the flame. Cover and let cook for 5-7 minutes until grill marks start to appear and the breasts release easily from the grates. Flip chicken over to the other side of the grill (not over the flame. Brush with sauce, cover and cook 5-7 minutes. Flip, and brush with sauce, cover and cook 3 more minutes. Continue to brush with sauce and flip, every 3 minutes, until internal temperature of the chicken reaches 160 degrees (about 6-12 more minutes). Discard the remaining sauce used to brush the chicken. Serve alongside any remaining fresh sauce.
Note: For a charcoal grill- Prepare/heat coals and place them underneath ½ of the grill grates. Lightly oil the grill grates. Proceed with the recipe above, maintaining a grill temperature of around 375-400 degrees Fahrenheit.
