Hamilton County District Attorney General Neal Pinkston said, “We are thankful Daphne is safe and no longer being held by her father. It is especially gratifying to be able to tell her mom that Daphne is free and no longer being hidden. This doesn’t change our goal to find and prosecute John Westbrook. Our investigation remains active and we expect new developments within the next couple of weeks.”

John Westbrook, Daphne’s father, has not been located. John Westbrook is accused of kidnapping and holding Daphne against her will.

Pinkston had this to say about John in March of this year. “He’s used about 15-20 different email addresses as well as about 10 different aliases. At one point in the trip he purchased hair dye and fake teeth so altered appearances. Bitcoin and block chain analysis are anonymous financial transactions that don’t involve banks.”

Daphne’s mother said that she is relieved and happy that Daphne is alive.
