DALTON, Ga. (WDEF)- The Mack Gaston Community Center in Dalton was used a little differently today.
The North Georgia Health District partnered with the DEO Clinic to host a Walk in COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic today.
No appointment was needed.
Participants were able to choose between the Pfizer and the J&J vaccines.
The clinic executive director says that this is a step in the right direction for Whitfield County.
Heather Donahue, DEO Clinic Executive Director says, “Our vaccination rate in the county, although our health department has done many, many, many vaccines, not all of the people that they have vaccinated live here. So, it would be great for our community to come out and really get our vaccination rate higher in Dalton and Whitfield County.”
Second doses of the Pfizer vaccine will be available at the health department.
