CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF)- EPB partnered with TVA to provide 36 thousand dollars for STEM programs at 10 different Chattanooga area schools.
This is TVA’s third straight year of funding STEM programs in the Tennessee Valley and southern region.
T-V-A awarded a total of 800 thousand dollars in STEM grants this year.
The funding will support computer, science, and agricultural projects.
“What we’re trying to do at TVA is build the work force of the future” said TVA spokesperson Scott Fiedler. “That means our students today need the basic math science and engineering skills for those future careers.”
