Suspected Car Break-ins lead to Vehicle Pursuit in Hamilton County

Hamilton County, TN (WDEF) – Early this morning Hamilton County Sheriff’s deputies were involved in a multi vehicle pursuit that started near the Holly Hills subdivision in Hamilton County.

According to the sheriff’s department, the pursuit was initiated after responding to a call of suspects breaking into vehicles. Two suspect vehicles were observed driving recklessly in the area.

Officials say a sergeant attempted to block a Nissan but the vehicle left the roadway. The driver and passenger fled on foot while the Nissan rolled back and struck the patrol car’s driver side door.

Two deputies were also involved in a crash while responding to assist with the pursuit.
All deputies involved in the crashes were uninjured. A loaded handgun was also recovered in the Nissan.

The Sheriff’s Department is still working to identify the suspects. If you have any information contact authorities.
