MASHESTER, Tennessee (WDEF) – After taking a year and a half off because of the pandemic, the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival is returning on the first weekend in September.
Tickets went on sale on Wednesday as the festival announced this year’s acts.
They include headliners Foo Fighters, Lizzo and Tyler, the Creator.
It also features Megan Thee Stallion, Tame Impala, Lana Del Rey, Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, Leon Bridges and Incubus.
This will be the 20th anniversary of the festival set on a farm near Manchester.
Organizers say they are improving access to the festival this time, with daily entry and a new tram system inside the venue.
Bonnaroo used to anchor a series of music festivals in early June, with Riverbend and Nashville’s CMA/Fan Fair.
Now we could see a similar crush of events landing in the fall this year, because of Covid-19.
As of now, the Moon River Festival is scheduled to return to Chattanooga the weekend after Bonnaroo.
