CLEVELAND, Tenn. (WDEF) — The Bradley Central Bearettes are headed to their fourth straight state tournament after defeating Oakland, 36-31.

“Can you imagine if we played just a little better? And we’re going to Murfreesboro with a game like this,” coach Jason Reuter said. “The potential for this team is much more than this. Am I upset about the way we played? Sure, but there’s eight teams going from each class ask the other 300 how they feel, so I’m proud of our girls.”

Bearettes will play Lebanon for the third straight time in the quarterfinals Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. Bradley beat Lebanon in 2019 before going on to win the state title. Last year, Lebanon beat Bradley, ending the Bearettes season days before the COVID pandemic shut down the tournament.
