CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF)- It’s time for some change in Chattanooga’s oldest public housing community.
Westside Community members gathered today virtually and in person to discuss the future of the area.
During today’s meeting, they began stage 2 of the planning process.
Participants got a chance to see what type of buildings may be come into their area in the near future.
Tammy Saim with WestSide Evolves says, “We’re going to be doing updating of housing, landscaping, we are trying to bring in services that are very needed for our residents like grocery stores, laundry mats, beauty salons, barbershops, just things that they are really lacking in this area, that they need.”
There will be other meetings in the future for the community.
