DALTON, Georgia (WDEF) – The Whitfield County Sheriff’s office has arrested a suspect for a shooting Friday morning.
It happened in the early morning hours on West Nance Springs Road, just off of I 75 between Resaca and Dalton.

A man called authorities saying his roommate had shot him in the chest.
The wound was non-life-threatening.
He says Shawn Bruce shot him while standing in the kitchen for “no apparent reason.”
Whitfield County deputies found Bruce this afternoon at a Chatsworth motel.
He faces a charge of aggravated assault.
