Veterans helping Veterans Food Drive

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn (WDEF) – On Tuesday, veterans are helping out other veterans with a Christmas food drive.

Going on all day,  veterans can pick up a box of food that includes everything that’s needed for a Christmas meal.

The boxes include non perishable canned goods, a turkey, house hold items, and snacks.

Organizer of the event says he feels like this food drive is needed now more than ever.

“We are trying to take care of the food bill so they don’t have to worry about food. A lot of veterans have children and they have things they have to take care of. So if we can take care of the food bill that gives them more room to pay bills and buy toys,” says Kevin Baker, Organizer of the Veteran Food Drive.

The food drive is for veterans only.
