CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — KCH Transportation made sure Erlanger nurses had something to look forward to Thursday.

The company collected over $700 to treat close to 50 nurses at Erlanger to a Moe’s catered lunch.

The money covered the lunches for all the nurses on four floors of the hospital. Each floor is treating COVID-19 patients.

“They just don’t have the time to leave to go get something to eat or actually have time to make food at home to go because everybody’s so busy,” Ryan McGinty said.

“Especially the cafeterias right now aren’t making the normal food, so it’s more of like a sack lunch type thing. So getting something a little bit nicer can just help cheer up their day during the dark part of it,” Jeremy Powell said.

With the leftover money, the company plans to buy Starbucks gift cards for as many nurses as possible.
