CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Chattanooga Police have arrested the suspect wanted by the FBI for the robbery of the EBP Credit Union on Monday.
Lots of you speculated over the surveillance image we posted from the FBI of the robber.
The suspect was dressed as a woman.
The clerk told police the suspect was a man who dressed as a woman.
She says he handed her a note and demanded money.
But when the suspect tried to leave, the glass door was locked.
The police report says he then forced the bank manager to unlock it for him and fled.
Afterwards, police were able to lift a fingerprint from the door and traced it to 35 year old Montel Rice Chubb, who had been arrested back in February.
They say when they went to his home, they found marked money and a purse matching the one in the bank video.
Investigators not only charged Chubb with Aggravated Robbery, but also with Aggravated Kidnapping for forcing the manager to unlock the door.
