(chattanoogafc.com) – La Liga’s first division giants, Real Betis, will play Chattanooga Football Club this Saturday, May 25th at Finley Stadium in downtown Chattanooga. The trip will mark the first time the Spanish team will play in the US in their 112 year history, and they are planning to bring their best to Finley Stadium.
“The team that just beat Real Madrid this past weekend is the same team we will face this Saturday,” said Bill Elliott, head coach, Chattanooga FC. “Real Betis has world class players from all over the world and we are honored to play them in our home stadium. We are all looking forward to the experience of a lifetime against the best team we’ve ever faced. They are certainly a Goliath of a team, but we play the role of David pretty well, so who knows.”
Real Betis is based in Seville, Spain, and capped their La Liga season with a win against famed Real Madrid at the Bernabeu on Sunday. The club became the first team since 2002 to beat Barcelona at Camp Nou and Real Madrid at the Bernabeu in the same season.
This Wednesday, Real Betis will take on Wayne Rooney and DC United at Audi Stadium in Washington D.C. before they arrive on Saturday to play Chattanooga FC in Finley Stadium.
Tickets are on sale now at cfctix.com for $30 in advance, $40 on the day of the game. They can also be purchased at Carniceria Loa in Chattanooga and Loa Bakery in Dalton.
