FORT OGLETHORPE, Georgia (WDEF) – If you want a history lesson this weekend, some relics from the end of World War II will be on display tomorrow in Ft. Oglethorpe.
The FREE exhibit, The Six Battles of Kurland, will be at the 6th Cavalry Museum from 10 TO 3.
Dr. Steve Nicklas from University of North Georgia tells us “One of the most important things about the exhibit is it focuses on the role of archaeology, in dealing with teaching the subject matter of the second world war, especially the campaign in Europe. And linked to the newest techniques in archaeology.”
Dr. Nicklas will conduct two seminars at 11 and 1 to talk about the battles, and their artifacts.
The museum’s address is 6 Barnhardt Circle in Fort Oglethorpe.
