NASHVILLE, Tennessee (WDEF) – Gov. Bill Lee on Friday filed Tennessee’s emergency funding request for flooding last month.
It covers 58 Tennessee counties, including Bledsoe, Hamilton, Marion, Rhea and Sequatchie.
The state is asking for $151 million for local and state infrastructure, roads and emergency responder refunds.
None of our counties qualified for individual assistance.
Tennessee should learn in the next couple of weeks if we are declared a federal disaster zone by the president.
TDOT has already received $10 million from the Federal Highway Administration for emergency road repairs.
