East Ridge Police Chief released after several months investigation


EAST RIDGE, Tenn. (WDEF) – East Ridge city officials announced in a press release Thursday night that the decision was made to release Police Chief J.R. Reed, effective Wednesday.

In November, the chief was placed on administrative leave with pay because of matters relative to his position with the police department.

The release said that after several months of investigation, the city administration determined the separation with Chief Reed was necessary.
