Vols offensive lineman Trey Smith was sidelined back in October with blood clots in his lungs. It’s the second time Smith has battled the health issue.
But the former number one recruit in the nation still dreams of playing again.
That’s why he has been on the field at spring practice.
Said head coach Jeremy Pruitt:”He’s part of the team. He’s really when it comes to being injured. He’s not injured. So Trey plans on playing football one day again. He’s doing everything but contact right now. I mean we go out there and do off-season conditioning. He’s probably running faster than everybody else at his position.”
