Tennessee Aquarium: building a home for the new Tree Monitor

Tennessee Aquarium

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – We are about three weeks away from the new exhibit at the Tennessee Aquarium.

The Island Life gallery is replacing the Jellyfish inside the Ocean Journey exhibit on March 15th.

One of the new creatures we’ll see is the Tree Monitor.

The colorful lizards are popular pets. The Emerald tree monitor and relatives are from New Guinea and other Southeast Asia islands.

Our Chattanooga Tree Monitor will require an elaborate new home.

So the Aquarium folks created a time lapse to show what it takes to make a Tree Monitor feel at home.
