CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Airport officials says a Delta Airlines flight was forced to land in Chattanooga after being struck by lightning.
It landed safely with no injuries just after 4:00 p.m. this afternoon.
The plane was in route from Milwaukee to Atlanta.
After being struck by lightning, it was diverted to the Chattanooga Airport.
The plane is an MD 90 and was carrying 164 passengers.
Officials say the aircraft will be closely inspected to determine the next steps in getting the passengers to their final destination.
