Heritage Girls Get Last Second Win Over Chestatee in State Tournament


Ringgold, GA-(WDEF-TV) The Heritage girls basketball team beat Chestatee 53-51 on Friday night in the opening round of the state tournament at Heritage High School. With the game tied at 51 with roughly ten seconds to play, the Generals rebounded a missed shot from the War Eagles. Ansley Bice dribbled up the far sidelines and fired a pass to Reagan Armour underneath to score the winning basket. Emily Wiley led Heritage in scoring with 25 points. The Heritage boys were not as fortunate as they lost their state tournament game to Blessed Trinity 78-50. The Generals fell behind ten points in the first quarter, and they struggled to make a comeback.
