CLEVELAND, Tennessee (WDEF) – We’re seeing a lot more of the bottom of Parksville and Ocoee lakes this week.
TVA has dropped the lake levels on the Parksville Reservoir six feet lower than normal for awhile.
Crews are repairing a faulty gear on the spillway gates for Ocoee Dam Number One.
TVA says this is a great time for lake dwellers to make repairs to the docks and piers while the water is low.
And residents can see just how shallow parts of the lakes are.
But we only have the rest of this week to take advantage.
TVA expects to begin raising the lake level again once the work is done by Friday.
It should get back to normal by Sunday, sooner if the rains are heavy.
