Chattanooga Police Officer suspended without pay


CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF)- We have learned that another Chattanooga Police officer has been suspended. This time without pay.

Officer Ricky Ballard was suspended on Friday.

Officials say Officer Ballard’s suspension is a result of the disposition reached after an administrative investigation and disciplinary review hearing.

The DRH was on Friday, February 1st and that is when Ballard’s suspension became effective immediately.

The sustained allegation is Conduct Unbecoming.

Ballard received the max discipline, per the discipline matrix, which is 160 hours of suspension without pay.

News 12 has submitted an open records request for the circumstances that led to this administrative investigation.
