Police rule woman’s death as a homicide

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – The mysterious death of a woman last week in a Hixson neighborhood has now been ruled a homicide.

Police were called to the home on Moody Sawyer Road last Friday before noon.

They found 30 year old Taja Whiteside unresponsive.

Despite CPR from EMS units, she died.

But they couldn’t find any obvious wounds.

However Chattanooga Police investigators are now ruling it a homicide after consulting with the Medical Examiner.

They are not releasing the cause of death.
