CATOOSA, Ga. (WDEF) – A kidnapping suspect is in custody after leading Chattanooga Police on chase into Georgia.
Brandan Deel was taken into custody by GA law enforcement officials last night.
A kidnapping was reported to CPD Wednesday evening.
Chattanooga officers saw the vehicle and that’s when the chase began.
Chattanooga Police says the vehicle fled southbound into GA on I-75.
The vehicle stopped near Mile Marker 341 and police say the suspect was taken into custody without incident.
The 2 females, who were kidnapped, are okay and were taken to a safe place by officials.
The suspect was booked by GHP.
Chattanooga Police officials will also take out warrants on Deel and charge him when GA is done with their investigation.
Deel is charged with kidnapping, theft/bring stolen property, impeding flow of traffic, obstruction, possession of firearm during felony, reckless conduct, failure to maintain lane, cruelty to children and fleeing/attempting to elude.
Two pistols were found in the car after Deel stopped in the middle of traffic on I-75, according to the GA Highway Patrol.
GSP also found out later that Deel had carjacked someone in Virginia for the vehicle he was driving.
Deel is believed to suffered from a mental disorder as well.
