Inmate recaptured after 2 hour escape

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – A jailbreak in Hamilton Count only lasted about 2 1/2 hours this afternoon.

29 year old Coty Aaron Dilbeck was being booked at the Hamilton County Jail Monday afternoon around 2 PM on theft charges.

But he managed to slip away from the holding area.

The Fugitive Division found him a couple of hours later in Bradley County.

Hamilton County officials say he only had non-violent thefts on his arrest history.

“The HCSO is reviewing the circumstances of his escape to reduce the probability of it reoccurring in the future.”
