CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — Chattanooga firefighters comfort a young girl after her mother has a medical emergency.
Firefighters with Quint 6 responded to a call on Friday night. According to officials, a mother and her daughter were out traveling by foot when the mother had a medical emergency.
A spokesperson says while personnel with Hamilton County EMS took care of the mother, Lt. Julius Hubbard took the little girl up into the fire truck’s cab to get her of of the cold. He provided her with a blanket and stuffed animal, and then kept her company by providing an art lesson.
Another firefighter, Larry Henderson, served as the go-between and located some relatives to pick up the child about an hour later.
CFD officials, say the girl was having a bad night, but firefighters made the night a little more bearable.
