Businesses added 155,000 new jobs in November, the Labor Department reported on Friday — a slower pace of job growth than most economists had expected. The unemployment rate remained at 3.7 percent.

Average earnings grew 3.1 percent, continuing last month’s pace. It’s the fastest rate of wage growth since 2009.
