NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – An ambulance has crashed on a Tennessee highway, killing a medic and a patient.
Metro Nashville Police said the single-vehicle crash occurred Friday night on Interstate 40. The patient and a medic in the rear of the vehicle were ejected during the crash.

Police tweeted that the victims were taken to a hospital in critical condition but later pronounced dead.
It is unclear what caused the crash or why the patient was being transported.
