$125K worth of stolen items recovered in traffic stop in North Georgia


COHUTTA, Ga. (WDEF)- The Cohutta Police Department says during an early morning traffic stop Saturday, they recovered approximately $125,000 worth of stolen items.

Cohutta PD posted to Facebook that the GA Department of Community Supervision and Varnell PD were involved in the operation.

The say this operation lead to them recovering three stolen trailers, two motorcycles, a Ford pick truck and more.

Some of the items were taken from Chattanooga, TN, Dalton,GA, Cohutta GA, Cleveland TN, Whitfield County, GA, and Lyerly, Ga.

The owners of the stolen items have been identified.

Cohutta PD says “This was great job done by these department. Also a special thanks to Whitfield County Dispatch for confirming all the information.”

If you have been contacted, the items should be available for release by Tuesday afternoon.
