Red Bank Police chief retiring


RED BANK, Tennessee (WDEF) – Veteran law enforcement officer Robert Simpson is retiring as Chief of the Red Bank Police Department.

Simpson, a former Chattanooga police officer and Chief in South Pittsburgh, is ending a 33 year career.

Simpson took over the Red Bank job after the dismissal of Chief Tim Christol in September of 2017.

City officials say assistant chief, Captain John Wright will be interim chief and the search begins for a new chief.
