OOLTEWAH, Tenn. (WDEF) – Students at Hunter Middle School have a reason to be proud.
Kids at the school have shown some serious academic growth.
In fact, on a statewide scale of 1 to 5, the school made the top of the list.
Principal Robert Alford says the achievement is because of the hard work of teachers, students and parents.
“We try to make sure that we deal with what we call the triangle. The instruction, the standards, and then the
assessment piece of that. We make sure that all of those are done as equally as possible. We don’t sacrifice instruction for assessment. But we make sure that our kids are prepared and ready.”
School leaders plan to continue that hard work, and hopefully remain at this high level of achievement.
