The Salvation Army Deploys Officers to the Carolinas

Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) – The Salvation Army of the Greater Chattanooga Area received orders to deploy two officers and one staff member to join other Salvation Army units in the wake of the Hurricane Florence disaster.

Captain Nathan Jones, Lt. James Harvin, and Drew Scott leave September 24th for Wilmington, North Carolina. From there, they will be assigned to any one of the nine Salvation Army service points to aid communities affected by providing water, hot meals, and care.

In times of disaster, The Salvation Army is one of the first relief agencies on the scene to assist survivors.
