Suspect charged with DUI after running into motorcycle this morning

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – A local man has been charged with DUI, again.

But this time the results were deadly.

Witnesses say the car was driving erratically before veering into oncoming traffic on Hixson Pike.

The vehicle hit a motorcycle, killing the rider.

It happened at 8:20 in the morning.

31 year old Phillip Hutton was killed.

Officers say the other driver, Harrison S. Rogers, acted impaired.

They charged him with Aggravated Vehicular Homicide, DUI – third offense, Reckless Driving, Driving on Revoked License for DUI, Driving Left of Center, and Implied Consent.
