Nashville, TN (WDEF) – There are two new millionaires in Tennessee after this weekend’s drawings.
A player in Millington won $2 million playing Powerball and a player in Brentwood won $1 million playing Mega Millions.
The Powerball player matched five of six numbers drawn, which is a $1 million prize. But since the player added the Power Play for an extra dollar, the prize was doubled.
The Mega Millions winner also matched five of six numbers drawn.
No information about the winners is available until the prizes are claimed.
The Lottery has raised more than $4.4 billion to fund designated education programs, including after-school programs, scholarships, and the Governor’s Drive to 55 initiatives.
