CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Criminal Judge Tom Greeholtz’s courtroom was again packed with members of the Athens Park Bloods and their lawyers this morning.
Like the first hearing in April, when members of the gang were arraigned on racketeering and conspiracy charges, it’s a status hearing.
Each of the 44 people charged was given a lawyer.
The suspects were charged by the district attorney’s office with Class B felonies that carry a 12-20 year sentence on conviction.
This morning’s scheduled hearing is for many of the defendants, including those who pleaded not guilty at the first hearing.
At this point all of the alleged gang members are being tried together.
