CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Two buildings in downtown Chattanooga got hit by lightning during the storm.
One of them was the Hunter Museum.
Lightning hit a chimney, causing bricks to fall.
Today the area was roped off and crews were assessing the damage.
Firefighters say no one was injured.
Those who heard the lightning strike say they were nervous and immediately got out of the area.
Hunter Museum officials say no artwork was damaged and the mansion was closed today for assessment.
A street was also closed today downtown as a precaution after lightning stuck the top of the James Building.
