COHUTTA, Ga. (WDEF) – The Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a horse.
Captain Paul Woods with the Criminal Investigation Division says deputies were called to Cohutta-Beaverdale Road just after midnight Saturday morning on reports of cruelty to animals.
The Sheriff’s Office says a deputy arrived on scene to find a deceased horse.
The Sheriff’s Office investigation revealed the horse had been shot.
