Vigil held at Coolidge Park for Heyer and Charlottesville


CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — A crowd came together Sunday night in Chattanooga for a candlelight vigil for Charlottesville and the woman who died during the protests.

The vigil was held at Coolidge Park.

The Chattanooga chapter of Democratic Socialists of America and other organizations gathered with a group in the park.

People got up and spoke as a crowd lit candles.

Some people sent messages through signs saying end hate.

A few words were shared about Heather Heyer.

The 32-year-old was the one killed when a car crashed into a crowd during the events in Charlottesville.
