Someone is throwing objects at moving cars in Hamilton & Catoosa counties
HAMILTON COUNTY, Tennessee (WDEF) – There are investigations in two counties now on objects thrown at moving vehicles Wednesday morning.
Hamilton County got multiple calls from victims between 5:30 and 6:00 AM.
There were three incidents on East Brainerd, Graysville Road and Ooltewah Ringgold Road.
In each case, some object was hurled at the drivers and smashed their windshields.
Victims say they were thrown from another vehicle coming at them.
Catoosa County also has two more such incidents this morning.
And so did Chattanooga, for a total of seven cases.
So far, no one has been hurt, but there has been plenty of property damage.
In a release, Hamilton County officials say the objects can turn into missiles.
“An object, whether heavy or light, can weigh much more after gaining velocity after having been thrown from a moving vehicle.”
If you know anything about the perpetrator(s) or their vehicle, please contact your local law enforcement agency, immediately.
