LOUISVILLE, Colorado (WDEF) – There is a new champ of the grocery wars, kind of.
Market Force has released their 2017 survey of our favorite grocery chains in America.
Publix Super Markets has jumped into a tie with 2016 winner Wegmans (from Northeast).
Market Force surveyed more than 12 thousand shoppers in March, asking them to rate their favorite groceries.
Publix, Aldi, Costco and Whole Foods all made the top ten.
Krogers, Target and ShopRite finished in the middle of the survey.
Walmart placed dead last.
Shoppers do appreciate a good deal. Discounter Aldi’s ranked twice as high as upscale Whole Foods.
In the Value category, shoppers picked Aldi #1 and Costco #3. Walmart placed 6th.
In the other categories, Publix finished first for Fast Checkouts, Availability of Items, Ease of Finding Items, and Store Cleanliness.
