CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) The Chattanooga Girls Leadership Academy hosted a special leadership program that involved using horses.
It involved members of the Mustang Leadership Partners Equestrian Team. The students showed off the skills, knowledge, and talent they have learned over the school year.
One student explains that the program is about more than just the animals.
Freshman Mya Humphrey said “You have to learn to take charge and be a leader. And working with this horse especially has taught me leadership. Because before, I would just let her do what she wanted to do. Because I did not think it was that important. But now I have learned that, it is important and I need her to do what I ask, or that show would not have went how it went.”
We’ll have more on the CGLA equestrian program during a future edition of What’s Right With Our Schools.
