Chattanooga Police look for suspects who attacked victims near Aquarium Saturday night

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Chattanooga Police are asking for the public’s help to find the juveniles who attacked people involved in a traffic incident Saturday night downtown.

Just before 10 PM, the victims vehicle was pulling up to the intersection of E. 1st Street and Market near the bridge.

They slowed for pedestrians and another vehicle rear-ended them.

When the victim got out to check on the other driver, police say several of the pedestrians began to heckle and curse him.

Then he says they approached the vehicle and assaulted him and his passenger.

Then they ran in different directions.

They suffered minor injuries, but couldn’t describe their assailants well to police.

Officers pursed, but there were around 200 unsupervised juveniles downtown at that time.

Police did make several arrests, but they were not related to the assault.

So they are asking for anyone who might have some information on the case to call 423-698-2525.
