BRIDGEPORT, Ala. (WDEF)- The town of Bridgeport, Alabama is trying to come to terms with the announced closing of the Beaulieu America fibers plant.
The plant says 375 of the 390 employees will be laid off by March 31st.
Beaulieu has had a plant there since 1987.
A spokesman says the company is making changes that will mean less carpet flooring produced in the future.
The company is attempting to place some of the workers at other Beaulieu operations.
