Chattanooga (WDEF) The Ronald McDonald House of Chattanooga provides a home away from home for family members of children in the hospital.
Some 500 families stay at the home each year and it takes a lot of funds to keep the doors open. That’s one reason why the non-profit started selling Christmas ornaments.
This year’s “Hearts of Gold” ornament symbolizes “keeping families close.”
The Ronald McDonald House hopes to raise $15,000 with the campaign. Brittany Snyder says “as children are out of school, there are accidents, and health issues and flu and we see an increase. And we tend to have a waiting list and we are booked keeping families here and close to families and their children receiving care across the street.
Ornaments can be purchased online or by calling the house. You can find details here.
