Nashville, TN (WDEF) – For the sixth time, a Tennessee Lottery player has won a Powerball jackpot. It’s a $420.9 million grand prize for the person who purchased a ticket in Lafayette, TN.
This ticket, which matched all six Powerball numbers drawn Saturday, Nov. 26, is also the 200th ticket sold by the Tennessee Lottery.
The winner has 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim the prize.
The original estimated jackpot of $403 million increased to $420.9 for Saturday’s drawing, becoming the second largest overall prize for the Tennessee Lottery. The first was the $528.8 million Powerball prize won by a Munford family in January 2016, who split the $1.58 billion jackpot with winners in two other states.
The Tennessee Lottery has raised more than $3.9 billion for education programs, including college grants and scholarships, after-school programs and Tennessee Promise.
