CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.(WDEF)- The Tennessee Valley is getting set for a Thanksgiving celebration that volunteers hope won’t leave anyone out.
The Union Gospel Mission held its big dinner today while the Salvation Army and other local agencies and churches will serve the annual dinner tomorrow.
But somebody has to do the preparation for the meals.
At the Chattanooga Rescue Mission, volunteers held their annual Turkey Pull this afternoon.
The Rescue Mission will be serving from 5 until 7 p.m. tomorrow. It will be done under a cloud of sadness.
“November has been a very difficult month. It’s been very tragic. Many, many things. I mean, So many. Uh, families, we’re all just so thankful to have each other and we are heart..just breaks for those families that have lost children, and have loved ones that are lost or misplaced, or homeless..needing help at this time,” said Jennifer Thal who is a rescue mission volunteer.
The Rescue Mission is located at 1512 South Holtzclaw.
