CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF)- Kids in South Chattanooga had a safe way to do some trick or treating tonight, thanks to the Bethlehem Center and this event also led to a huge donation.
“We would like to present to the Bethlehem Center… $1,000 donation for your hard work and service for the community,” said Kinnawa Kaitibi, a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., when presenting the check to the Bethlehem Center.
This 1,000 dollar donation was inspired by all the community outreach the Bethlehem Center has done for the community.
The organization even hosted a Hallelujah night for the kids, complete with bowling, dancing and candy.
University of Tennessee of Chattanooga fraternities raised money from a step show they hosted to donate to the Center.
“And of course bring a better feeling, a more personal feeling towards the community by actually getting in the community, doing a step show that was off campus and providing the funds that we raised from the step show and giving it to a philanthropy of our choice and the Bethlehem Center was one of the best one we could have found,” said Kinnawa Kaitibi.
The donations will go to academic enrichment programs and extracurricular activities.
