CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – The new Hamilton County school season may have already started but that didn’t keep the Salvation Army from holding it’s annual Back to School Bash Saturday.
The even gave children the opportunity to have fun and blow off some excess summertime energy before starting a full week of school.
There were also several agencies on hand to make sure children had new school supplies and to also make sure parents have useful resources to help their children.
“There’s a lot of really great need in the community and a really great response from the families in the area,” says Lt. Ruth Cancia with the Salvation Army.
More than 300 people attended that event.
