ROSSVILLE, Georgia (WDEF) – A man who already had outstanding warrants for his arrest in Walker County is now facing four counts of child molestation and two counts of sexual battery on a child in Catoosa County.
Cagny Dyer, 28, of Rossville was arrested over the weekend after Catoosa County detectives named him as a suspect in a child sexual assault case.
According to the arrest report, The mother of the alleged victim found out her daughter had been sexually assaulted by Dyer last Monday. Through the course of their investigation, detectives learned that Dyer may have sexually assaulted the juvenile multiple times from March of 2015 to June of 2016.
When deputies initially tried to talk to Dyer, he reportedly fled the scene before they arrived.
Dyer was arrested in Walker County at a friend’s house after he was found hiding in a bathroom.
He already had outstanding warrants for his arrest in Walker County for a probation violation.
Dyer is now being held without bond at the Catoosa County Jail.
